A video overview of the features of the Palm operating system on the tablet WebOS HP Touchpad: multitasking, synchronization, multi-touch gestures and touch to share.
Touchpad HP got its official baptism with a specific event that preceded a few days the Mobile World Congress 2011. The fair in Barcelona, however, was the first opportunity for European journalists to see the first live-equipped tablet operating system WebOS, the fruit of the Palm.
We were able to enjoy live the ultra-slim tablet and responsiveness of HP TouchPad: Qualcomm Snapdragon processor through a dual-CPU 1.2GHz APQ8060, the device can provide a real experience of multitasking and allows to perform all common tasks without show any effort. The wide screen 9.7 "XGA (1,024 x 768 pixels) with capacitive multitouch support, allows easy viewing of contents without compromising the compactness and portability of the touchpad.
A coating of Corning Gorilla Glass un'essezionale ensures protection from scraping, wear and tear while maintaining perfect image quality. Through the built-in accelerometer allows the tablet autorotation guidance and allows you to play using the tablet as a steering wheel.
The following video provides an overview of all the main features of Palm OS, which could be attributed to two basic concepts:
1) Maximum ease of use and maximum interactivity. It's all at your fingertips, using gestures you can close applications, move, check the notifications and more, without ever having to open a submenu. The "touch" is also the basis of synchronization technology, and even the power supply system, thanks to the latest technology Touchstone.
2) Maximum integration. WebOS applications accessing email and multimedia content such as photos, with a unified interface that either are on "the cloud" or on the device. Services and online resources are combined with local ones seamlessly.

HP Touchpad integrated Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR with A2DP stereo support (there will be a 3G version with GPS). It also provides a storage of 16 GB or 32 GB depending on the version, to store their files. The presence of a memory card slot provides future expansion.
The tablet does not neglect the profile of HP media. Remember that you can play DRM-free audio formats MP3, AAC, AAC +, eAAC +, AMR, WAV and QCELP and MPEG-4, H.263, H.264. Looking at the device from various angles one can become aware of a 3.5 mm connector for headphones, a microUSB port for connecting to a PC and a speaker system with integrated system Beats Audio.
Reportedly, the tablet is powered by a generous Lithium-Ion 6300 mAh of which, however, do not know the independence states.

First impressions speak in favor of a mature device, which focuses on substance and on the fluidity of the experience of use rather than on "special effects". Much will depend on prices for those who can offer reliable solutions at a reasonable price, will have more chances to carve out a leading role in one area of the tablet, which is becoming increasingly crowded
